The McCain-Flake immigration alternative: Deportations, ankle monitors, foreign aid restrictions
Jul. 10, 2014 5:09pm Pete Kasperowicz

Arizonas two Republican senators, John McCain and Jeff Flake, will soon introduce legislation that would require the immediate deportation of unaccompanied children and take new steps to ensure illegal immigrants show up for deportation hearings.

The bill would also condition foreign aid to Central America on increased steps on their part to stop the flow of people trying to cross over the U.S. border.

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., proposed a bill Thursday with Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) that would require immediate deportations and take steps to ensure illegal immigrants show up for deportation hearings. (AP Photo/Susan Walsh)

The bill is likely to be championed by Republicans as an alternative to the Obama administrations request for $3.7 billion, which the GOP says will mostly go toward detaining and caring for thousands of children, but will not deter illegal immigration.

Its also another sign that Republicans in Congress are unlikely to accept President Barack Obamas request as it stands, and will fight to make adjustments to the proposal.

Today we face a humanitarian crisis along our southern border, and Congress must act to amend our immigration law and provide law enforcement the abil .. . . . . . . .

Illinois Democrat Brags About Sexually Abusing Six Year Old Girl
By Steven Ahle on July 11, 2014 in Crime, Democrats

Ex-Rep Democrat Keith Farnham has been arrested for distributing child pornography. The democrat resigned from the Illinois retired after his arrest, citing health reasons. He used an alias in child sex rooms and bragged about how he had abused a six year old girl sexually.

He has tried to maintain that he is innocent even though police confiscated his computer with the incriminating evidence. The democrat is now trying to plea bargain his way down to lesser charges. He has until the next court date in September to accept the offer.

The 66 year old democrat is charged with sending child pornography through the mail, showing kids as young as six years old being molested. He has been given an ankle bracelet and is under house arrest, which includes not using his patio. That stipulation was added to make sure he wouldnt be able to come into contact with children.

Farnham tendered his resignation shortly after he was raided by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers raided his home and confiscated his computer.

The federal complaint said that he had been visiting pedophilia websites, using a false name. They cited one disturbing episode from last may in which he described how he had abused a six year old girl. He faces 10 years if convicted. He .. . . . . . . .

This Washington Post puff piece on President Obama's recent fundraising tour is really something else
By T. Becket Adams | July 11, 2014 | 5:36 pm

Juliet Eilperin at the Washington Post gained some amount of notoriety earlier this year after she penned an embarrassing and now-debunked attack on Charles and David Koch, the libertarian-leaning bogeymen of the left.

And now she has authored what may be this year's silliest puff piece for the Obama administration.

His second term halfway over, President Obama is trying to free himself from the constraints of office, Eilperin wrote in an article on the front page of Friday's paper.

And despite Obama's many critics who have questioned the wisdom of him crisscrossing the country to attend Democratic fundraisers rather than sort out the burgeoning crisis on the border between the U.S. and Mexico, there are apparently some benefits to the president's get outta' Washington strategy.

His journey this week has generated positive stories in the local media while allowing him to underscore a broader message that the U.S. economy is getting better, Eilperin writes.

And, oh, it gets better.

There are several forces driving Obamas restlessness, beyond his staffs commitment to sticking with their schedule, she wrote. .. . . . . . . .

Perry: Obama Doesnt Know Where the Border Patrol is Stationed

by Keith Koffler on July 11, 2014, 9:41 am

Well, heres one good reason for President Obama to have visited the border, beyond his contemptuous claim that it would be no more than a photo op, which of course is something The One never engages in.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry last night told Fox News Sean Hannity that during his discussion with Obama Wednesday, he concluded that the president doesnt even know where his own border patrol agents are situated, suggesting a gross lack of familiarity with the whole process.

Perry said:

We ought to be stopping people from crossing that border, not apprehending them after they get inland. And the president understood that. And, interestingly he did not know that. He Im comfortable that he was not knowledgeable about where his border patrol was stationed.

And, he gave me indications that he would work with them to move them upward to where they could be side-by-side with the DPS, with local law enforcement, with the other individuals who are sending that message all the way down to Central America: Dont send your kids, dont come up here, because the border, it is shut down.

The idea of moving them up is to keep Central American kids from coming to the border in the first place, because once theyr .. . . . . . . .

D.C. Whispers: Obama White House Attempts To Cut Off IRS Scandal Special Prosecutor

Here is topic #1 today within the corridors of power

Unofficial discussions are now being undertaken between the Obama Department of Justice and members of Congress, including the leadership from BOTH parties regarding either a specific DOJ investigation into Lois Lerner (favored by Democrats and the White House), or to have the case turned over to a special prosecutor. (favored by some Republicans but not the leadership)

The DOJ investigation would allow the Obama White House to continue to control the flow of information regarding the IRS scandal. A special prosecutor would not. Lerner appears more than content to remain silent until the ongoing discussions between those who hold her future in their hands, is ultimately resolved one way or the other. That would likely change should a special prosecutor be appointed, but if the Obama DOJ is able to be granted control over the investigation, that silence will likely continue.

What initiated the uptick in discussions between administration operatives, and congressional representatives was the following just disclosed emails from Lois Lerner as reported by the Washington Post:

In a stunning revelation this week, it was disclosed that former IRS official Lois Lerner told colleagues,we need to be ca .. . . . . . . .
